Splash of colour

YO!

This week I have got creative and dip dyed , tie dyed and bleached a few t shirts , a shirt and a pair of shorts!

Dip died t -shirts:

all I did to make these was fill up two buckets of dye (pink and blue) and simply dipped the top half of the t shirt in the blue bucket and left a space then dipped the bottom half in the pink bucket.

I teamed my bullet necklace with the  t shirt for a casual daytime look

The wombats t shirt

I got a bit bored with my wombats t shirt so I decided to spruce it up and tie dye it! I simply pinched the centre of the t shirt and wrapped elastic bands around the shirt to create the pattern. I then placed it in the blue bucket for around 15 minutes then put in the pink bucket overnight for the pattern to take shape.

These are perfect for festivals and holiday wear shame I didn't make some beforehand! I shall defiantly still be wearing these throughout the year!

Suppppp

due to having so much free time on my hands  I decided to alternate a few clothes and experiment with my creative side.

I have  been wanting a new play -suit for agessss so I decided to make my own as it would be cheaper and and the easiest thing to do.

Therefore  I took a journey to my favourite charity shop Salvation army and bought a lovely oversized Men's shirt. As you can see the main colours that run through it are blue , brown and cream perfect for the winter!

How I did it:

1. cut off the sleeves and roll them up to create shape

2. cut a line through the middle of the shirt to create the shorts , I personally prefer to roll the ends of the shorts so that they match the arm holes , but its your choice

3. sew in-between to make the shorts

4. add a belt around the waist so that the play-suit doesn't appear to baggy

I hope that my easy method was useful! I personally like to wear my play-suit with bare legs , thick socks and docs for a easy going , fun look :)

I shall be posting more clothes that I have either alternated or made shortly after my trip to Scotland , stay tuned!

Many thanks

IMO xx

Friday's Face: Amy #6

Face. Foundation- Foundation/ Vivo in Natural sand, Concealer/ Collection 2000 in Fair, Lipstick/ Natural collection in Krimson. My skin is so bad..

By the time you are reading this post. I will be heading to the Isle of Wight for the weekend. Hopefully Immie will still keep you entertained.

Shockenly my hair is natural... NATURAL!! Yes the frizz has returned, once tight curls. Now a frizzy, burnt mess due to all the products and heat I place on it. My hat saves the day though... My eyes are closed because I'm so tired!!! I have just realised that I don't even have any mascara on. The scarifices I have to make for a 5 hour car journey.

So thats my final post for the weekend.
Have fun, stay safe.
Thanks dolls

Aup gang!

Tomorrow I am going out for a birthday meal and this is what I plan to wear , I have recently been to France , when I was there I came across this beautiful knee length blue polka dot dress. It was originally 110 euros but I was extremely fortunate and managed to grab it in the sale for only 44! it is officially my favourite dress as you can dress it up and down. It is also very comfortable and easy just to slip on. I teamed this dress with some beige and cream strappy wedges from the gorgeous brand that is Bertie. I always think that brown and blue go so well

much love imo xox

This week I'm loving.....

Hello beautiful people in the blogging world...

I'd thought I'd compose a two in one post, as it can be classed as a "This week i'm loving" and a wishlist. Sheer maxi dresses are the one thing this week I have been lusting. I'm still unemployed so unable to buy the "sheer" dress of my dreams. This dress is wonderful, especially within the trasition of summer to autumn. The sheer detail makes it perfect for hot summer days, whilst the high neckline and elasticted waist make it hug curves and warmth whilst making it easy to layer.

All the other additional elements shown in the collage above, are more things that I wish to own...

  • Floral, spiked headband. This has been featured in one of my first wishlists, I believe that Topshop has stopped stocking this particular model. Which is such a dreadful shame :( I am still on the lookout for a similar one as I am attending V festival with Immie on the sunday... and believe this will be PERFECT for my hair.
  • The necklace is a long gold one, it has the addition of beautiful cross relic pendants. They look extremly expensive and have an antique feel. Cross symbolism has been done to death... everyone and their mum is wearing crosses. Although I think this necklace is different and would look perfect with the Sheer maxi dress. Both the necklace and dress are from Topshop.
  • The Doc Martens boots are something that I have wanted for what seems like FOREVER. I am just a little bit scared due to the process of "Breaking them in.." I prefer the classic 3 eyelet shoes, but feel the boots are the perfect piece to start off with; I have lots of black shoes already, so i think if I purchase them in the gorgous "OX BLOOD" colour I will be set to go.
So thats all...
Thanks Dolls,
Amy xx
Btw. I'm also on Lookbook nu. So if you like my looks I'd love it if you would hype me!!!

What Immie wore today #2

Hiya!

So today i decided  to join my stepfather at the local pub to gaze at the olympics and share a packet of prawn cocktails crisps, this is what i wore!

I didnt want to be to over dressed and i was dying to wear my new floral shirt which i found in a nearby charity shop. I teamed my shirt with an old pair of Topshop blue shorts , creepers and a brown clutch. I also decided to go a bit crazy with my hair and backcomb it to death!

cheers gang xxx

I am the resurrection and I am the life.

As promised a post of my current clothes obsessions.

This is what I wore today.... The waistcoat is vintage mens in a beautiful deep red colour with added gold detail, which I found at a boot fair on the Isle Of Wight with Immie. The collared white shirt is long sleeved and thrifted from a boot fair. The dungarees were a gift and are from RiverIsland. The brothel creepers are in black suede and with the added strap detail from Underground in a store in Manchester. The jewellery is all gold and from a various charity shops, vintage stores, topshop and bootfairs. My explanation is immensly short today, It was not an intention.. it just happened.

What I wore today!

Howdy!

The weather is shocking however I still wanted to feel summery so I I decided to wear my cream lace dress! This is one of my favourite dresses , it can work throughout summer and winter. Luckily I found it in a charity shop in the Isle of Wight for only £2!!! I later realised that it was from the popular Warehouse store.

Today I have teamed this dress with my gorgeous red patient lace up boots , my vintage necklace and black tights.  As you can tell by my facial expression I wasn't impressed with the weather!

Immie's Sunday's face!

Yo yo yo!

It's normally Amy's posting her 'Friday faces' however I am taking a plunge and posting my Sunday face for a meal in the countryside with the fam!

Bobbi Brown in an absolute hero of mine and has to be my favorite make up artist! Her brushes last for a life time and work miracles. I highly recommend the
Foundation and face blender blusher brushes for everyday use.

The make-up that I have used:

 Mac: eyeliner (fabulous)
Laura Mercier: bronzer
Garnier Miracle skin perfecter foundation
 Mac: bronzer
Ruby and Millie: eye-shadow  Aldi Lacura: mascara
which is cheap and certainly cheerful!
